The Duke of Zhou's interpretation of dreams has been passed down for thousands of years. Who wrote it?

The Duke of Zhou was a man in the early Western Zhou Dynasty, the fourth son of King Wen of Zhou and the younger brother of King Wu of Zhou. After the death of King Wu of Zhou, the actual political power of the Zhou Dynasty was in the hands of the Duke of Zhou. The Duke of Zhou was surnamed Ji and named Dan. Because he was granted the title of 'Gong' and his fief was in the Zhou Dynasty, he was called 'Duke of Zhou', also known as Duke of Zhou. There is an introduction to him in junior high school history textbooks. He put down a rebellion launched by Uncle Guan, Uncle Cai, and Wu Geng in conjunction with the Dongyi tribes. Historically, it is known as 'pacifying the Three Prisons' and consolidated the rule of the Zhou Dynasty.

The Duke of Zhou was the historical figure most admired by Confucius. Confucius wanted to restore the Zhou Rites all his life and worked tirelessly to this end. He said: 'Self-denial and courtesy are benevolence.' The so-called Zhou Rites are the hierarchical rules and regulations of etiquette and music formulated by the Duke of Zhou. Because of Confucius's admiration, the Duke of Zhou established his lofty position in Confucian culture. The Analects of Confucius records a saying by Confucius. Confucius said: 'It's so bad that I am declining! For a long time, I no longer dream of seeing the Duke of Zhou.' Translation into modern Chinese means: I am very old. I haven't dreamed of seeing the Duke of Zhou for a long time. This means that Confucius felt that his wish to restore Zhou Rites would not be realized in the future. Because of this sentence, people often call dreams 'dreams of the Duke of Zhou' or 'dreams of seeing the Duke of Zhou'. Therefore, the Duke of Zhou became involved with dreams.
